About Milton House

Here in Askrigg we’re a little bit hidden and that’s just how we like it. Our claim to fame is that our little village starred in the original hit BBC series All Creatures Great and Small which celebrated the work of James Herriot - very fitting given our location is right at the heart of Herriot Country! The new series of All Creatures Great and Small was also filmed in the Yorkshire Dales, some filming took place locally and The Green Dragon Inn at Hawdraw became the Drovers Arms.

We are able to offer you B&B studio suites new for 2021 - a safe and flexible option for you to enjoy a visit to Askrigg. Take a leisurely breakfast, have a lazy morning lie in or an early start to your day. Enjoy a relaxing evening putting your feet up after a busy day out in the Yorkshire Dales with options to prepare a light supper in your room or pick up a takeaway supper.
