The clocks have gone back the nights are drawing in but it’s still a great time of year to visit the Yorkshire Dales.
To tempt you further we have a great Autumn offer on so you can enjoy a few nights away at an even lower rate! We have three cosy pubs here in Askrigg, complete with open fires, cosy bars and hearty food to warm you up from the inside out.
If walking in the crisp Autumn Winter air is more your thing, there are some lovely walks right from our door that will take you to some of the most beautiful hidden treasures tucked away from the crowds of tourists.
As much as we love it here in the Yorkshire Dales, we had planned a few days away exploring the Cotswolds, it’s lovely to see somewhere new but we do love coming back to our corner of Yorkshire. Unfortunately, that trip has had to be put on hold as Bernie has to undergo surgery on his knee. We love going away with the dogs during Autumn but health is more important and we can go away another time when Bernie will be able to enjoy it properly. Luckily for our visitors, that means we’re open for business throughout all of November now!
With our trip postponed we have been busy creating an exciting competition for all of our social media followers. We had great fun photographing the prize with our two furry helpers, although their main priority was trying to give the fudge a good sniff!
All will soon be revealed but for now, we’ll let you know that the competition will be running for 2 weeks in November so keep an eye on our Facebook page and tell your friends to do so too! We’ve created a great prize with some lovely bits from Francis Smaller Fudge and something that will definitely warm the cockles from Yorkshire Dales Brewery just up the road!
So, not only are we running a fab Autumn offer, you could be heading home with a gorgeous prize too!
We will soon be spending some time giving the B&B a bit of a refresh over the winter months with new carpets on their way for rooms 2 and 3. We may be a little quieter with guests but there is always something keeping busy at the B&B! To let off some steam we’ll be enjoying a night out with some other local B&B owners and friends, it’s a lovely way to round off a busy summer season and get us in the mood for Christmas!
